GFP  Shipping

Solution Overview

GFP Process

Tightly integrated
into
WAWF Shipping
and UID Labeling

GFP UID Touchpoints

GFP processing affects:

  • WAWF Acceptance  (DD250)
  • Mil-Std-129 Container Labeling
  • Mil-Std-130 Part Marking  (if missing)

GFP process differs in two ways:

  • Reparable Receiving Report is required
  • Custody of items must be acquired from the UID Registry

GFP vs GFE and GFM

  • GFP - Government Furnished Property - UID-marked end-items provided to contractor for maintenance, repair or overhaul.
            o Shipped
    via WAWF Reparable Receiving Report

  • GFE - Government Furnished Equipment - lent to contractor for contract performance

  • GFM - Government Furnished Material - Specialized raw materials provided for contractor in manufacturing and service contracts

GFP Shipments Differ from New UIDs

  1. Contractor must obtain Custody from UID Registry.

  2. GFP UIDs must be present in the UID Registry
(or added at time of Custody Request).

  3. WAWF Reparable Receiving Report must be used.

  4. WAWF returns custody of UID items to the Government rather than adding them to the UID Registry.

 UID Registration:  New UIDs

  • UIDs are added to shipment by Shipper or Labeling
  • Sent to WAWF on Receiving Report to add to the UID Registry.

UID Registration:  GFP Shipments

  • UID Expeditor inducts UIDs into GFP Process Table
  • Custody is gained from UID Registry
  • Shipper sends those UIDs to WAWF on Reparable Receiving Report

For MIL-Comply WAWF and Labeling users, handling GFP is little different than shipping new acquisition UIDs.

UID Expeditor handles the required UID Registry transactions.

No logging into PIEE.

UID Shipping Process   (New Acquisition)

UIDs are added to MIL-Comply in Shipper or Labeling.

UIDs are added to the UID Registry by WAWF.

UIDs are sent to WAWF on a Receiving Report.

Detailed Look:  New UID Shipments

1. Shipper or Labeling user enters UIDs to ship.

2. Receiving Report (DD250) sent to WAWF.

1. GFP UIDs are entered.

2. GFPs are sent to UID Registry to gain custody.

3. Shipper or Labeling user selects from GFPs in custody.

4. Reparable  Receiving Report sent to WAWF.

Integrated GFP Shipping

Shipping and Labeling of GFP shipments are essentially the same as with New Acquisition UIDs, except:

  • UIDs
        o New:  Added by user
o GFP:  Selected from UIDs in custody

  • WAWF Acceptance
        o New:  Receiving Report (RR)
o GFP:  Reparable Receiving Report (RRR)

MIL-Comply handles these differences automatically.
